Anaheim Ducks Gear Up for Post-Olympic Return with Key Players Back on Ice

Leo Carlsson and Frank Vatrano Participate Fully in Practice Ahead of Crucial Stretch

The Anaheim Ducks hit the ice today for their first practice following the Olympic break, with both Leo Carlsson and Frank Vatrano fully participating.

Both players have been sidelined due to injuries but are now working their way back to full strength.

Leo Carlsson, the 21-year-old center, has been a standout performer this season, amassing 44 points in as many games.

His impressive play was interrupted in mid-January when he underwent a procedure to treat a Morel-Lavallée lesion in his left thigh, sidelining him for 3-5 weeks.

His return to practice is a significant boost for the team as they prepare for the final stretch of the season.

On the other hand, Frank Vatrano, the 31-year-old left wing, has faced challenges this season, recording just three goals and six points in 38 games.

His struggles were compounded by a shoulder fracture sustained on December 27, which required a six-week recovery period.

Vatrano's full participation in practice indicates he is nearing a return to game action.

The Ducks are currently holding onto the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, aiming to end a seven-year postseason drought.

They will resume their regular-season schedule on February 25, hosting the Edmonton Oilers at the Honda Center.

Fans can look forward to an exciting event on February 22, as the Ducks and Disneyland Resort will host the annual Anaheim Ducks Day at Disney California Adventure Park.

The event will feature appearances by select Ducks players and Wild Wing, along with various hockey activities and specialty food and beverage items.

As the Ducks gear up for the remainder of the season, the return of key players like Carlsson and Vatrano could provide the necessary spark to secure a playoff berth.

Fans are encouraged to support the team during this critical stretch, with tickets available for upcoming home games at the Honda Center.

For more information on game schedules and ticket availability, visit the official Anaheim Ducks website or contact the Honda Center box office.
